The catalogue was published to accompany the eponymous exhibition held from 27 January to 29 March 2015 at Galerie Zdeněk Sklenář in Prague. This is not a standard catalogue presenting only exhibited works. The publication is a record tracking the developments in Josef Achrer's oeuvre, from his Landscapes to the themes in his most recent cycles Damaged Information and DATA. Thanks to its unusual format and Zdeněk Ziegler's graphic design, the catalogue highlights the paintings and objects, and Achrer's own texts are presented alongside the reproductions of his artwork. As a result, the book becomes a unique artefact in and of itself. Josef Achrer is greatly inspired by present-day China. It is thus only natural that important Chinese individuals express their observations regarding Achrer’s work, specifically the art historian Lü Peng and the painter Wu Yi. There are also a number of photographs documenting Achrer's stay in China.
